UEFA CHAMPION LEAGUE in 2017-18

The UEFA Champions League is a football club competition operated by the Union of European Football Associations and taken part in by top-division European clubs to decide the best team in Europe in every year.

In recent format, the Champions League begins in late June with a preliminary round, three qualifying rounds, and a play-off round. 6 surviving teams join the group stage, entering 26 teams qualified in advance. 32 football teams will be divided into 8 groups, 4 teams in each group. 8 top teams and 8-second place of the board will go straight to qualifying round to choose the last 2 teams for championship match (usually occurred at the end of May). 

The champion of the UEFA Champions League will contest the UEFA Super Cup and  FIFA Club World Cup. In 2017-18, The 63rd season has been organized by UEFA.

* Quarter-final first legs


On 3 April, Sevilla has a match against Bayern, Juventus against Real Madrid. Bayern has won with a score of 2-1. Real Madrid has won Juventus with the match score 3-0.
On 4 April, Barcelona has competed to Roma and won with a score of 4-1. Liverpool has won with the match score 3-0 on the match with Manchester City.

* Quarter-final second legs


Barcelona has met Roma to open the quarter-final on 10 April. Their total scores are equal to  4-4 (visiting game 4-1, home game 0-3). Roma has won Barcelona on away goal.
Sevilla has met and lost to Bayern Munich 1-2 (visiting game 1-2, home game 0-0).
Juventus has met and lost to Real Madrid 3-4 (visiting game 0-3, home game 3-1).
Liverpool has met and won on Manchester City 5-1 (visiting game 3-0, home game 2-1).

* Semifinal


Bayern Munich has met and lost to Real Madrid 3-4 (visiting game 1-2, home game 2-2).
Liverpool has met and won on Roma 7-6 (visiting game 5-2, home game 2-4).


* Final

   And the final match between Real Madrid and Liverpool has begun in NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium, Kyiv city on May 26th, 2018. Real Madrid, the defending champion, has beaten Liverpool with the score 3-1 to extend 13th title and their third title in a row.

     As being winners, Real Madrid earned the right to play against the winners of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League, Atlético Madrid, in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup, and also qualified as the UEFA representative for the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Moreover, they also have been automatically qualified for the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League group stage.
